Memorial University celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025, marking a century of excellence in education, research, and community engagement. Established in 1925 with 57 students, it has grown into a leading institution with nearly 18,000 students and over 100,000 alumni.

The 2025 Canada Summer Games will take place from August 8–25, 2025, in St. John’s, NL, featuring 4,600+ athletes competing in 19 sports, including athletics, basketball, soccer, and rugby sevens. Memorial University will serve as the athletes’ village, hosting over 4,800 participants.
