We are thrilled to share that Environmental Systems Research (ESR), an open-access journal published by Springer Nature and affiliated with the PEOPLE Network, has officially received its first Impact Factor (IF) of 3.4, as announced in the 2024 Journal Citation Reports. ESR is now indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and ranked in Q2 in its category! We have also received the first CiteScore of 7.4 and ranked 37/271 in Environmental Science (miscellaneous) by Scopus!
We congratulate its Editorial Board Members and Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Bing Chen from the NRPOP Lab at Memorial University (Canada), as well as Springer’s Editorial Office. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the journal, which is dedicated to publishing high-quality, interdisciplinary and refereed research papers, review and comment articles, and topical collections on all aspects of environmental systems from water (terrestrial and marine), air, soil and biota. The journal aims to advance and apply scientific knowledge and innovative technologies to improve our understanding of environmental and sustainability issues and support evidence-based policy making and eco-friendly practice at regional or global scales.
“The recognition reflects the global influence and high quality of research published in ESR, as well as the dedication of our editorial team, reviewers, and contributing authors.”, Dr. Chen said, “Particularly, we are grateful for the contributions and support from the PEOPLE Network. PEOPLE members are highly encouraged to share their research through and make contributions to ESR”.
